Disappointing Loss

What do you know? The Phoenix Suns let medown again. They could

have closed out the Kobe’s in four games. Now, they are going to play at least five.

The Suns need to take care of the Lakers TKO style. They cannot take

Bryant lightly. Kobe looked more like Michael Jordan Wednesday night.

Only Kobe is not Michael Jordan. He is a very talented player that is used

to getting every call. He did on Wednesday. Steve Nash is the MVP and did not get a

call at home!

The calls did not make the game though. The Suns did not play theirbrand

of ball. If they don’t, they’ll end up on the golf course instead of playing in the

Finals.

Suns keep stride

The Suns took care of Portland Wednesday night. But that is not the big

news. The Phoenix Suns have caught stride rolling into Sunday’s match up versus the Kobe's

(the Lakers).

Kobe can score 101points. It does not matter. The Phoenix Suns are going

to win the series. There is nothing the Lakers can do but put up ratings. In fact, I

guarantee they will be on the golf course in May.

Steve Nash has done a remarkable job that he is on a Wheaties box!

It is amazing that 10 years ago, he was barely playing. It does not matter if anyone comes

back ( Kurt Thomas).

The Phoenix Suns will live and die by Steve Nash.

Long live Nash!

Raja sets tone in Suns win?

Raja Bell is known as a defensive stopper. But he showed his offense against Sacramento Monday night. Hetriggered a Phoenix rally even when they were down 17.
Players like Bell are going to be critical when the Suns get into the playoffs.
If we get the Kobe's (the Lakers), we can rely on Marion and Nash like we have all season. Winning in the first two rounds will not be a problem. But in the conference finals it is going to be theMavs or Spurs.
Raja can get into anyone's head. He reminds me of Dennis Rodman. He can play tough defense and shut players down.
If the Suns want to go deep into the playoffs, they will need Raja to step up.
It looks like the Suns could be turning the corner. The Mavs come into town tonight.
We'll see who steps up.

It is time for Nash to be MVP

OK, I have had enough. It is time for everyone to put

Amare Stoudemire in the rear view mirror.

Stoudemire might have ruined the Suns’chances for a

title run.

Damn it! I have been a Suns fan since the 1992. It has been a

long time since the Suns have had a chance at the prize.

Charles Barkley can’t come back because he is in the Hall of Fame!

Now, our great prodigy is on the bench for the rest of the season.

The Suns are out of sync, but it is up to Nash to make everything

normal. The MVP needs to do more. Yes, I said it. Nash has done

everything he could, but it is not enough. The Suns are going

to be on the golf course instead of the court if they do not

break out of this funk.

At least one Suns fan is counting on you to turn the tide.

Is this the Amare show?

Amare Stoudemire was back in the lineup for the Phoenix Suns. Now he is not. Stoudemire has destroyed the team’s chemistry at a time where they need it the most. The Suns do not know what direction they are going either.

The playoffs are two weeks away and the Suns stink. It is not anybody’s fault, but D’Antoni needs to make up his mind. Either get Stat back on the floor, or let the team get some cohesiveness.

Kobe Bryant and the Lakers are coming. That means a lot of 50-point games in the playoffs. The Suns do not need that. But they should not have to worry as long as the team is playing well. The Suns should roll through the playoffs. We will find out D’Antoni’s decision soon.

Stat is back!

It is official. I cannot believe it. Stat is back! Amare Stoudemire is expected to play tonight vs.
Portland. Suns fans should not expect too much. Stoudemire will probably log about 20 minutes. His knee will be stiff. His timing will be off. He probably will not be a mirror image of the player that he was last year.
The fact is that the Suns need another big man. They cannot afford to stumble in against
Sacramento or Los Angeles with Brian Grant alone.
This short time before the playoffs will give Stoudemire continuity with his team. It will be enough time to get him in the mix to get ready for Ron Artest or Kobe.
Stoudemire does not need to score points either. Stat needs to get under the boards. That is all he needs to do. Then, get the ball in Steve Nash’s hands. He will run the offense. Nash will also help get Stoudemire back into the flow of the offense. That is why he is the MVP. If Stoudemire is any presence down low, the Suns will win the West.

Walking the Line

Robert Sarver is in grave danger. He is not in danger because the Suns are
losing…yet. What if the Suns start to spiral downward in the next few seasons? Does he have enough basketball knowledge around him to right the ship? If the Suns start losing fans will turn on him real quickly. He could end up creating another New York debacle.

Sarver already sent away one of the most beloved people in Phoenix
packing. Bryan Colangelo brought another winning name into the Suns organization when he took over as general manager. Now what? Sarver needs to brand D’Antoni the new Suns GM.

D’Antoni knows the ropes and has a good system in Phoenix. Sarver
needs to sit back and let D’Antoni do his job. If Sarver wants to be like San Antonio and Detroit, let D’Antoni continue his brand of basketball.

What are you thinking Bryan?

The Phoenix Suns won another game Wednesday night. Phoenix has a six

game lead in the Pacific Division. Shawn Marion is quickly becoming an unbelievable

player. So what? Is that what is going through Bryan Colangelo’s mind?

Colangelo is out of his mind if he plans to leave the team his dad

committed to in 1968. Toronto offered him the money, but it will take another 35 years to

see success. Isn’t success what you strive for?

The Suns finally have that key element and Colangelo is thinking about

bolting. I think that is ridiculous. If he wants to leave and does not, how committed will

he be to the Suns in the future? What is even more ridiculous is Robert Sarver’s
comments. He should do everything to keep Colangelo. He is not. Does he know something we do not??
We'll find out.

Suns Burst Bubble

The Phoenix Suns are going to have a great all-star weekend for
sure. I do not think this was the case two weeks ago. The Suns have been eking through games winning by no more than 10 points. Now, it is the opposite.

The purple gang has handled their business the past two outings. It looks
like coach Mike D’ Antoni has finally gotten something across to his players: Take care of winnable games. Tonight they were up by almost 50 points! Do you think they are getting the message?

It is important for Phoenix to flex their muscles going into the all-star
break. They need to show the rest of the NBA that they are a contender. The Suns will be unstoppable if they do that. They are 35-17 right now. They have a substantial lead over the Los Angeles Clippers. Can you imagine this team with Amare?

Look for similar playoff results if Amare comes back healthy. Hell, the
Suns players might even win the skills challenge, MVP, sixth-man, and most-improved player. It is incredible to think of what this team can accomplish. Go to

On The Bubble

The Phoenix Suns are two games ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers for the Pacific Division lead. Their lead does not mean they have been dominant. The Suns beat the Memphis Grizzlies Wednesday night, but they did not coast to an easy victory. They had an explosive first half, but did not show up in the second half. If you ask me, most of this is atrributed to mental miscues. The Suns do not get up for games that they "should" win. They look at the game as if it is in the bank.
The good thing about the inconsistency is that it is not even the all-star break.
If Phoenix wants to be a true championship contender,they need to take care of easy opponents. It seems like they just show up for the big games against teams like San Antonio.
Two of the next three games are at home. The Suns play Sacramento, Houston and Denver before the all-star break. You can check out their schedule
Phoenix Suns This schedule will be the key to the start of the rest of the season. The Suns "should" win all of these games and go on a win streak before the break. A win streak would get them on the right track toward a great second half.

The Suns beat the lowly Boston Celtics last night, but thats not the real story.
Amare Stoudemire is supposed to have an MRI done to see how close he is to coming back.
It looks like everything is o.k. so far, but i would not be surprised if he did not play this season.
The Suns just signed him to a 90 million dollar contract and they are not going to rush Amare back.
They do not want another Penny or McDyess on their hands.
Amare is confident about his progress though. All we can do is wait and see.
Hopefully "statmeister" comes back with some thunderous dunks.

Suns v Heat 1/26

The Suns play the Miami tonight. They've lost two in a row: to the Kings and Sonics. It seems like they are having problems mentally. They need to get in gear because Shaq and D-Wade are going to be bringin it tonight. Strong shooting and solid defense should translate into a "W."
Shawn Marion needs to bring his 20-10 game. As long as Stevie dishes out assists they'll be ok.
